I was born in Argentina and lived there (actually, here :) ) all my life, in its fantastic capital city of Buenos Aires. I'm single and with no kids, currently, but I would like to have my family in the future.

My profession is related to electronics, I'm a technician and should get my engineering degree very soon (I suspended my studies for more than a few years). I work at my small company, manufacturing electronic signs and doing other contract, electronic-design work. I have done research in the past, publishing a few papers on computer architecture, and this semester I will be teaching a course on embedded systems at the University of Buenos Aires.

Among my many other interests there is football, I mean the one they call soccer in the US, which I play once or twice a week, literature, history, politics, economy, investing, the Internet, science, and cooking for my friends.

As you may have noticed already, I speak English and Spanish. I wish I could speak more languages; German would be very useful, and I enjoy hearing Italian and Portuguese. Maybe some day...

Regarding the Internet, I'm involved in several projects besides editing for dmoz, like a site with investing tutorials that I maintain, a community project around a Commodore 64 game where several friends and I remember the good old days of early home computing, and a stamp-collecting blog.

Nací en Argentina y he vivido allí (mejor dicho, aquí :) ) toda mi vida, en Buenos Aires, su fantástica ciudad capital. Estoy soltero y sin hijos, por ahora, pero me gustaría formar una familia en el futuro.

Mi profesión es la electrónica, soy técnico y debería obtener mi título de ingeniero pronto (es que suspendí mis estudios por varios años). Trabajo en mi (pequeña) empresa fabricante de letreros electrónicos, donde también hago otros trabajos de diseño de electrónica a pedido, en particular para la automatización industrial. Hice investigación en el pasado, publicando algunos papers sobre arquitectura de computadoras, y este semestre voy a estar enseñando en un nuevo curso que estamos planificando, sobre sistemas embebidos, en la Universidad de Buenos Aires.

Entre mis muchos otros intereses está el fútbol, que juego una o dos veces por semana, la literatura, historia, política, economía, inversiones, Internet, ciencia y cocinar para los amigos.

Como ya pudieron notar, hablo español e inglés. Quisiera saber otros idiomas; el alemán me sería muy útil, y me gustan particularmente el italiano y el portugués. Quizás algún día...

En cuanto a la Internet, estoy involucrado en varios proyectos además de editar para dmoz. Además de los sitios mencionados arriba, tengo un pequeño blog con notas sobre política, Internet y otros temas variados. Por ejemplo, la más reciente fue con consejos sobre optimización AdSense.
